Rights and removal requests

Last revised 7 October 2026

Artmetria records information that auction houses and other sources make public about works of art and their sales: catalogue details, results, and the images that illustrate them. Each record names its source and the date it was read.

If you hold rights

We respect the rights of auction houses, photographers, artists and their estates. If you hold rights in material shown on Artmetria and want it credited differently, limited or removed, write to us.

How to make a request

Write to rights@artmetria.com with:

  • who you are, and the rights you hold or represent;
  • the material concerned — a link to the page on Artmetria, or the sale and lot references;
  • what you would like us to do: correct a credit, stop showing an image, or remove a record.

What we do

We acknowledge every request within two business days. Where a request identifies the material clearly, we stop showing it while we review the request, and we tell you what we have done.

Working together

Many auction houses benefit from their sales being found, followed and cited with their source. If you would rather discuss how your results and images appear on Artmetria — attribution, links back to your own pages, or a data arrangement — the same address reaches us.

This page does not limit any right you hold, and contacting us does not prevent you from taking any other step.

Who publishes Artmetria is set out in the Imprint.
