Terms of Sale

Last revised 12 October 2026

Version uk-2026-10-10

These Terms of Sale govern the purchase of an Artmetria subscription, under the law of England and Wales: what you buy, what it costs, how it renews, how to cancel it at any time, and how to withdraw within 14 days with a full refund.

When these terms apply

These Terms of Sale apply to every Artmetria subscription bought from the day online payment opens. Until then nothing can be bought, and nothing is charged.

They complete the Terms of Use, which govern the use of Artmetria whether or not you subscribe. Where the two differ on a subscription, these terms apply.

Who sells

Market is provided by Artmetria Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales; online payment is not open yet. Its company number and registered office are given in the Imprint and in the confirmation you receive when you subscribe. Artmetria Ltd is responsible to you for the service itself.

The payment is taken by Link (Sold through Link, LLC, an affiliate of Stripe), which sells the subscription as merchant of record on Artmetria's behalf: it charges you in its own name, collects the tax due in your country, sends your receipts and invoices, and handles payment questions and refunds, under its Purchase Terms, which you accept at checkout. Where they and these terms both speak, you have the benefit of whichever is more favourable to you.

What is sold, and at what price

Market — £39 a month, tax included. Access to Artmetria Market for one person: auction lots with their comparables and the evidence behind them, artists' markets, dossiers and printable notes, and Signals by email. Sold on this website and paid by card through Stripe.

Eye+ — £6.99 a month, VAT included. Lifts Eye's monthly limits. Sold only in the Artmetria Eye app, through the App Store or Google Play (see « Eye+ » below).

Prices are set in pounds sterling and are the total you pay: any VAT, GST or sales tax due in your country is included, and collected by Link. At checkout, the price may be shown and charged in your own currency, with the conversion stated before you pay. Eye itself is free.

How you subscribe

You subscribe to Market from your Artmetria account. Before paying you see the price, how the subscription renews and how to cancel it, and you are asked, in two separate boxes, to agree to its automatic renewal and whether you want Market to start straight away (see « Your right to withdraw within 14 days »). The contract is made when your payment is accepted at checkout.

Link sends you its receipt. We send you, by email, a confirmation of the contract with the information in these terms, what you asked for and agreed to before paying, and a model cancellation form. The version of these terms that applied is recorded with your subscription.

Renewal, and cancelling at any time

A Market subscription is monthly. It is charged on the day you subscribe and then on the same day each month, until you cancel. There is no minimum term.

The subscription renews automatically. Before paying, you are shown its price and rhythm and asked to agree to the automatic renewal in a box of its own; the confirmation email repeats it, with the link to cancel. Once a year, we remind you by email of the subscription, its price and how to cancel.

You can cancel online at any time from your account (Account, then Manage billing), in one step, or from your purchases at link.com. The subscription then stops at the end of the month already paid, you keep access until then, and nothing more is charged. Cancelling after the first 14 days gives no refund of the month under way, except where the law where you live provides one.

When a subscription ends, what you recorded in Market — dossiers, research, the works you hold — stays yours to read and download.

Your right to withdraw within 14 days

If you are a consumer, wherever you live, you can withdraw from a Market subscription within 14 days of the day you subscribed, without giving a reason.

Market starts as soon as you pay, if you ask for it to: you are asked, before paying, to request it expressly. The 14-day period still runs, and withdrawing within it costs you nothing.

How to withdraw within 14 days: use Withdraw from contract here, write to legal@artmetria.com, or send the model form below. Your notice counts from the moment you send it. You receive an acknowledgement by email.

What is refunded: everything you paid, within 14 days of your notice, to the card you paid with.

Model cancellation form (complete and return it only if you wish to cancel):

To: Artmetria, legal@artmetria.com — I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following service: Artmetria Market subscription. Subscribed on: ___. Name: ___. Address: ___. Signature (only if this form is sent on paper): ___. Date: ___.

Changes to the price or to these terms

A new price applies only from a renewal after we have told you of it by email, between 14 and 30 days before it applies, with how to cancel. You can cancel before it applies. A change to these terms that is not in your favour applies in the same way, and never to a month already paid.

Your statutory rights

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights in the service and digital content supplied: that it is supplied with reasonable care and skill, is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you can ask us to put it right and, where we cannot, for an appropriate refund. Nothing in these terms limits those rights or any right the law of the country where you live gives you as a consumer.

Market describes the auction record. It does not value, attribute or authenticate a work, and is not financial advice (see the Responsible Use & Disclaimers).

If we suspend or end a subscription

We may suspend or end a subscription if it is used in serious breach of the Terms of Use (for example, by sharing one subscription between several people or extracting data in bulk), after telling you why and, where the breach can be put right, giving you the chance to do so. If we end Market for reasons of our own, you are told at least 30 days before and refunded any period paid and not supplied.

Eye+, bought in the app

Eye+ is bought in the Artmetria Eye app and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), under their terms. It renews monthly until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are requested from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google. Artmetria remains responsible to you for Eye+ itself, and your statutory rights are not affected.

Complaints

Write to legal@artmetria.com. We acknowledge a complaint within 5 working days and answer it within 30 days. Artmetria is not bound to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme; if that changes, we tell you which one when we answer your complaint. You can always bring a claim before the courts.

Where you live

Artmetria is offered worldwide, except where sanctions law or the terms of the providers it relies on prevent it (see the Terms of Use). If you are a consumer, the law of the country, state or province where you live protects you too: nothing in these terms removes a right that law gives you and does not allow to be removed, and a limitation in these terms that it does not allow does not apply to you.

Australia. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

New Zealand. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

United States. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some limitations in these terms may not apply to you. California residents may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 1625 North Market Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95834, telephone (800) 952-5210.

These terms contain no arbitration clause and no waiver of class actions.

Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, this choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live, and you can bring proceedings in its courts.
